Coppicing Frog Pond Wood ‘Triple Crown day’ 25th Feb

Coppicing Frog Pond Wood ‘Triple Crown day’ 25th Feb

On a surprisingly warm Saturday morning in February we descended on Frog Pond Wood LNR in Kenfig Hill, a hidden gem at the back of an industrial estate! Armed with saws and loppers the 8 of us had a pretty successful attempt at coppicing a small area of the woodland.

Not only did we manage to get some fresh air and enjoy the woodland on a great day but we also got some well earned exercise before watching Wales beat England at Twickers..

Many thanks to everyone who attended , Val, Leah, Rhod, Sandra, Jeff, Dan, Gareth and Geoff..

The next event this weekend is hedge laying at Bryngarw CP 10:30am Saturday 3dr March (and no rugby !)
