Fishy goings-on at Kenfig!

Fishing Barrier at Kenfig

Apart from the weather, all went well putting in the fishing barrier between the north lagoon and Kenfig Pool. Harry and Gareth from the Fishing club together with Dave, Geoff, Rob and Rob donned their waders and got down to the job in hand. Apart from some running repairs to Rob (who was very brave) it only took a few hours to install the barrier, then back to the Reserve Centre for lunch, where Ellie kindly provided doughnuts and Rob’s lunch. Thanks Ellie!

After lunch some repairs were done to the board walk which accesses the northern hide, which was very fortunate as a number of black terns were flying over the Pool.

Let’s hope that everyone has dried out now!
