hi everyone, good time was had by all as we explored Newton Burrows this evening with scope & knowledgeable Dave! Joint efforts managed sightings of 16 species. Weather was kind even warm and company enjoyable. Not forgetting the late arrivals of Rob and Jeff to the group, having completed their mercy mission to release a sizeable grass snake from garden netting. Good result for snake & householder. both very relieved. Back to sightings, not in any specific order of merit:-
lesser black backed gull, herring gull, blackbird, fulmar, starling, carrion crow, jackdaw, magpie, wood pigeon……meadow pippit- lovely pose….swallow, mallard on the wing, house sparrow, …linnet…stunning group of three, whitethroat, song thrush, Looking forward to the next event – Sue & Diana
