Fantastic bird walk at Coity Wallia Commons

Wales Biodiversity Week got off to a flying start with Paul Roberts leading a fantastic bird walk at Coity Wallia Commons on Saturday on behalf of the Coity Wallia Commons Biodiversity Enhancement Project.

The walk began at Ty Capel, Bryncethin and we enjoyed a three hour circular walk around Cefn Hirgeod Common. We encountered good numbers of meadow pipits, skylark, stonechat and linnet and were lucky enough to come across siskin, kestrel, swift and a grasshopper warbler. Thanks to Paul everyone who attended!

Dont forget the next great Wales Biodiversity Week event is tonight, an Evening bird walk at Newton Burrows with Dave Carrington.
