Help garden birds

Help garden birds throughout the summer by continuing to keep feeders topped up – many species will be feeding a second or even third brood and this added to the numbers of newly fledged youngsters can put pressure on existing food sources and leave many birds struggling to survive. If you can, leave a few fruit windfalls where they drop for ground feeders such as blackbirds and thrushes.

Don’t forget that the birds also need water both for drinking and preening their feathers and a drinker/birdbath can be made by simply filling a pot saucer (not too deep) and refilling with fresh water regularly.
