You may have seen in the local press that the park are hosting a Bushwaka Day this coming Saturday. It’s the first time it’s been done, and they’re all hoping for a successful event and some dry weather!
The events will be happening all over the park. Sasha of Cwm Tawel will be based at the Round House for her demonstrations. Out to Learn Willlow are having a trade stand too.
Mark from Reach Rural is having a stand representing Bridgend Countryside Volunteers and a ‘Community foodie’ stall. Coity Walia are having their own tent and unfortunately TCV (formally BTCV) have closed their Bridgend office and have pulled out. Mark has some Reach freebies to give away, and will be getting people to fill in a questionnaire about activities and facilities they would like to see developed in Bryngarw park. Any additional volunteers to help in the tent would be very welcome.
Would you be interested in lending a hand on Saturday?
It could be helping Mark, setting up in the morning, keeping an eye on the nature garden, or just generally an extra pair of hands where they may be needed.
Please let me know and I can pass your name onto Keith & Dan.
It should be a great day for the family and worth a visit to help support the Park in this new venture.
Leigh (on behalf of Bryngarw Park Volunteer Group)
