Volunteers needed @WalesCoastPath #beachclean Friday 20th with @mcsuk & Sat for @Keep_Wales_Tidy Week, @ #Sker with @PorthcawlLionsC

There are 2 opportunities for beach clean this weekend, the previously advertised mcs event at rest bay on Friday http://wp.me/p1cG8v-tX and Porthcawl lions on Saturday at sker, details below.

Taking place between 16 – 22 September 2013, Keep Wales Tidy are calling on the people of Wales to take part in a week-long, nationwide, cleanup. They are hoping that people living in every corner of the country will show how much they care for their local area by getting involved in hands-on, problem-solving action.

Porthcawl Lions have answered their call by organising a litter pick on Sker Beach, Bridgend this Saturday (21 st September) 9.30 – 13.00 and are looking for volunteers to help.

The meeting point is Sker House at 9.30 on Saturday 21 September followed by lunch and tour of Sker House. Please note that as you will be required to use a private drive and places are limited please contact Brian Jones (Brian.jones@keepwalestidy.org or 07824 504819) to confirm your attendance.
